This Cariboo had just walked out of the river, and was crossing the road when we nearly hit him. He then walked back towards the river, shook water off himself like a dog and looked back at us as if to say 'did ya see that!' We saw several Cariboo, but most were off in the distance or ran off into the distance before we could stop and take a picture. It was early in the season for antlers, these had just started to grow and had a thick covering of fur (velvet) on them.
